We use the information we collect to provide you with a personalized user experience. With your permission, Eyetide Media and/or its download partners may send you email regarding our products, services, or select third-party products. At any point, you may elect not to receive these emails.

In some cases, you may arrive at the Eyetide site through a 3rd party website or service. In these cases, Eyetide may share certain personally identifiable information with that partner. Use of that information by the partner will be covered under the partner's privacy policy.

Information We Gather & How We Use This Information

Purchase
Eyetide collects billing and contact information when you purchase one or more Eyetide products. All billing information is used strictly for processing the transaction, and is not stored on Eyetide's servers. This information may be stored by the companies we use to process credit cards in order to allow refunds and other customer support needs. At the time of this writing, Eyetide uses Bank of America for this purpose. You can read their privacy policy here. Contact information collected during purchasing may be shared with the media partners whose product you are purchasing.

Collections
You may select one or more Image Collections to use in your Eyetide Viewer. Your selection information tells us what images we should be sending you.

Feedback
Occassionally, we may ask you to participate in a voluntary Eyetide survey. The survey may request information about you, your satisfaction with the Eyetide Viewer and your ideas for improving our product. Information you provide will be used to make the Eyetide Viewer a better product. This information will not be used for any other purpose without your express permission.

Eyecards
When you send an Eyecard, any information you enter is used only for the purpose of sending your Eyecard as well as any confirmation or response messages. This information will not be reviewed by Eyetide or used for any other purposes.

Personal Screensaver Collections
The information you provide when setting up your personal screensaver account is used to create and protect the privacy of your personal collections of images. When sharing your collections with friends, the email information you provide is used only for the purpose of sending email invitations. Eyetide will not use this information for any other purpose. In addition, you retain the rights to any of the personal images you upload and Eyetide will display and distribute your images only in the ways that you agree to.

User Hardware and Software
Eyetide records general information about users' machines, specifically OS version, IE version and screen resolution, in order to provide users with speedy and efficient technical support. This general information is also used to improve Eyetide's product and therefore, our user's experience. This information will not be used for any other purpose.

Version Information
Eyetide tracks what version of the Viewer you are using in order to provide you with the appropriate updates and upgrades. It is necessary for all of our users to have the most up-to-date version available, so we provide you with that version automatically and for free, as part of the normal content download process. Please see the User Agreement for more.

Aggregate User Data
Eyetide also collects aggregate data of the Eyetide Viewer usage; this encompasses data and information about our user base as a whole, such as the percentages of users in each category. We may provide this information to our partners in order for them to evaluate the Eyetide Viewer. Aggregate data provided to partners will not include any personally identifiable information.

Web Link Activity
When you click on a Web link within the Eyetide Viewer, Eyetide servers record this information. This record-keeping is necessary, as it relates directly to the fees Eyetide charges its partners.

Information We Do Not Collect
Recently, consumers, advocacy groups, and others have raised concerns regarding privacy issues and information collected by Web-enabled software. Eyetide Media does not collect any information from consumers or consumers' personal computers other than that which is outlined above. The only information Eyetide uses for targeting consumers is information they voluntarily provide.

Email Policy
We may contact you about significant improvements to our products and services. Separately, Eyetide partners may contact you to present special promotional offers. You may select or de-select these options in the Preferences menu located within the Eyetide Viewer.

Your Consent
By using the Eyetide Viewer, you consent to the collection and use of personal information as discussed in this policy. If you disagree with our stated privacy policy, you should discontinue use of our service.

Protection of Personally Identifiable Information
At no time will Eyetide provide to any third party personally identifiable information, such as name or email, without your express permission. We will provide aggregate reporting information to our affiliates and to other select third parties; this information reflects only general usage and behaviors, and does not indicate personal usage, behavior, or identifying information.

Corrections and Updates to Your Information
To update your personal information, access the Preferences menu within the Eyetide Viewer, select the Personal button, and edit your information. To secure this change, click OK.

If you are no longer an active user and have uninstalled the Eyetide Viewer software, we can remove your information from our database. To request removal, email support@eyetide.com. Please note that in order for you to use the Eyetide Viewer, we need to maintain a database of your selected image categories. This information cannot be removed while you are an active user.

Client/Server Communication
By default, the Eyetide Viewer periodically contacts Eyetide servers to check for new images and versions. You can enable or disable this feature in the Properties window. Please note that by disabling automatic updates, you will need to manually check for new images in order to receive new content.

Web Affiliate Content
The Eyetide Viewer contains links to partner and other Web sites. Eyetide is not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of such sites or companies, nor is Eyetide responsible for the personal information that you provide to these parties. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of our partners and affiliates if you have concerns about their usage of your personal information.

Use of Cookies
At this time, Eyetide does not use cookies to track user behavior or for information gathering purposes. We only use cookies to store information related to our Web site in order to provide a richer and more convenient user experience.

Spamming
Eyetide does not condone the practice of "spamming," or, the sending of unsolicited, commercial emails. If you feel that you have received such emails from a third-party source affiliated with Eyetide, please email support@eyetide.com.

Other Privacy-Related Information
Current versions of Microsoft Windows allow you to set a password for screensavers, in order to protect your information while you are away from your computer. The Eyetide Viewer fully supports Windows passwords.

This Privacy Policy
Eyetide reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes to the policy will be posted to our Web site and included, when possible, in updates and upgrades to the Eyetide Viewer.
