What is the Personal Screensaver Builder?
Eyetide's Personal Screensaver Builder is a service that allows you to upload, edit, and share your personal images as Eyetide Collections. The Personal Builder home page is at http://www.eyetide.com/builder/.

ADDING IMAGES

How do I upload my own images?
From the "Add Images" page on the Eyetide Screensaver Builder page, you first select the number of images you want to upload. (Remember, uploading multiple images at a time will take longer, especially if you are using a dial-up connection.) Then you click "Browse" to find each image on your computer.

How do I know if I have any images saved on my computer?
These are the images that you have previously saved in a file somewhere on your computer. They might be the images you uploaded from your digital camera or other images you found on the Internet and saved.

Why do the images in my screensaver look grainy?
The higher the resolution of your images, the better they will look in your screensaver. In all cases, upload the highest resolution possible. (A minimum of 640x480 is recommended.)

UPDATING YOUR SCREENSAVER

After I upload new images, how do I get them to appear in my screensaver?
The Eyetide Viewer screensaver technology is created in such a way that new images are added to your screensaver automatically. Every 24 hours, the Eyetide Viewer updates itself and all changes or additions will be included.

How do I get new images to begin appearing in my screensaver immediately?
If you want to update the Eyetide Viewer manually, right-click the blue Eyetide Icon found in the lower right-hand corner of your screen-then select "Check for New Images..."

SHARING COLLECTIONS

How do I share my screensaver with friends?
After clicking "Share Collection" or "Share my Screensaver" you select the Collections that you would like to share. Then you complete and send email invitations. When you have done this, your friends will receive a message that includes a link directing them to download the Eyetide Viewer software and begin displaying your images.

When I add new images, how do I know that my friends can see them?
Once you have shared a Collection, all the images that you add to that particular Collection will be added to your friends' screensavers automatically. The Eyetide Viewer software updates itself automatically every 24 hours.

What happens when I add a whole new Collection? Will my friends receive it automatically?
Each time you add a brand new Collection to your screensaver, you must choose to share that Collection before your friends can enjoy the images.
